Biotics Research Hydro-Zyme™ provides digestive support via supplemental betaine hydrochloride, pepsin, and pancreatin, along with other known synergists. Gastric juice contains hydrochloric acid and pepsinogens, precursors of the family of proteolytic enzymes called pepsins. Betaine hydrochloride represents a dietary source of hydrochloric acid, a strong mineral acid which functions to maintain healthy gastric pH. Pancreatin is derived from porcine pancreas, highly enriched in pancreatic enzymes, in a ratio akin to human pancreas. Hydro-Zyme™ may be considered when the need for supplemental hydrochloric acid and/or pancreatin are indicated.
